Toby Tao

Hi there, my name is Yilin Tao, but prefer Toby. I am a currently senior student majoring in Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. This is my second semester at UIUC. Before that, I majored in Business and Data Science at the University of Arizona during my freshman and sophomore years.

I am looking for a Software developer job. I can use Python and Java proficiently, and also I’ve developed a passion for machine learning and computer vision systems. I was working at NCSA (National Center for Supercomputing Applications) for a project called “The reading time machine” for around a year. This project is a subset of a NASA Astrophysics Data Analysis Program (ADAP) project aimed at creating several science-ready data products to help astronomers search the literature in new ways.

When I am free, I will play with my pets (two cats and two dogs), and play some video games.
